Vladimir Michel

President

Military Police
105th MP BN / 211th MP Co.

Originally from Queens, NY, OC Vladimir Michel serves as the President of OCS Class 67. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York College at Cortland in 2015, where he met his wife. Driven by a passion for healthcare administration, he went on to complete a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Des Moines University in 2020.

Now living in the Charlotte area, OC Michel works as an Eligibility & Enrollment Specialist at the South Charlotte VA, where he helps veterans access essential healthcare services. He hopes to branch into the Adjutant General Corps, believing his experience in patient management and healthcare aligns with the AG Corps’ mission to support soldiers and their families.

OC Michel’s leadership philosophy centers on stewardship and developing others. In his free time, he enjoys high-intensity workouts, dancing, and exploring new restaurants and cultural cuisines with his wife and six-month-old daughter.  

Josh Mattocks

Medical Services Corps
30th ABCT / 1-252nd AR HHC

Born and raised in Wilson, NC, OC Josh Mattocks has always been driven by service and leadership. An Eagle Scout, athlete, and EMT by high school, he later earned a degree in Economics with minors in Entrepreneurship and Medical Anthropology from UNC-Chapel Hill. His passion for healthcare led him to Shanghai, where he worked as a healthcare consultant and helped develop a dialysis center. He later earned a master’s in Healthcare Data Analytics and now serves as a critical care paramedic at UNC Rex.

Inspired by his grandfather’s service in the Korean War, OC Mattocks joined the National Guard and will branch into the
Medical Services Corps, aiming to integrate his clinical expertise with healthcare administration. He hopes to attend medical school with a focus on emergency medicine, critical care, and cardiology.

A firm believer in accountability and clear communication, OC Mattocks leads by example. In his free time, he enjoys SCUBA diving, hiking, and traveling. He lives in Raleigh with his fiancée and their four parrots, with plans to marry in September.

Travis Murray

Secretary

Military Police
109th MP BN / 514th MP Co.

Born in Naples, FL, OC Travis Murray grew up along Florida’s East Coast before beginning his military career in 2007. He served in the Marine Corps until 2011, deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan, and later transitioned into nuclear security. Since 2012, he has worked at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant in Southport, NC—first as a Nuclear Security Officer, then as part of Duke Energy’s Composite Adversary Force conducting Force-on-Force Exercises, and now as a full-time Security Instructor.

OC Murray joined the North Carolina National Guard in 2017 as a Combat Engineer with the 105th Engineer Battalion. Building on his expertise, he completed an associate’s degree in Counterterrorism in 2022 and a bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security in 2024. He hopes to branch into
Military Police, aligning his military service with his law enforcement-focused civilian career.

Believing in leading by example, OC Murray applies his strong work ethic to both his professional and personal life. He and his wife, Taylor, have been married for four years and have three children—Sophia (11), Sawyer (8), and Sinclair (5). In his free time, he enjoys weightlifting, running, golfing, and mountain biking with his son, as well as taking family trips to explore new places.

Jordan Soltau

Treasurer

Engineer Corps

Originally from Queens, NY, OC Jordan Soltau spent his early years there before moving to Long Island as a teenager. He later returned to Queens to attend St. John’s University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and met his wife. Now living near Charlotte, NC, they share a busy life raising their two young children.

With a professional background as a Financial Services Representative, OC Soltau was selected as Class 67’s treasurer. He hopes to branch into
Infantry, seeking the challenge and discipline it demands. His leadership philosophy centers on authenticity and transparency—fostering an environment where open, honest communication allows teams to operate at their best.

While his free time is largely dedicated to family, OC Soltau brings a strong work ethic, adaptability, and commitment to both his professional and military pursuits.

George Anderson

Engineer Corps
130th MEB / 505th HHC

Born in Charlotte, NC, and raised in Gastonia, OC George Anderson grew up with a strong sense of discipline and adventure. An active Boy Scout who achieved the rank of Life Scout, he wrestled and ran cross-country in high school, qualifying for the state competition in wrestling his senior year. As an adult, he enjoys cycling, climbing, and camping—especially with his two young children.

OC Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minor in Chemistry from UNC Charlotte. He previously taught 6th-grade math and science at Kiser Middle School, where he also coached wrestling, before transitioning to his current role as a water treatment plant operator for the City of Greensboro.

Coming from a family with a deep military legacy, OC Anderson was inspired to serve. His father was a Field Artillery captain, and both grandfathers served—one as a captain in the U.S. Army Air Corps in Europe during WWII and the other as a sergeant in the Pacific Theater. Following in their footsteps, he hopes to branch into the
Engineer Corps, drawn to its role in both combat operations and disaster recovery.

As a leader, OC Anderson believes in taking care of his soldiers and leading by example. He lives in Greensboro, NC, with his wife, two young children, and two stepdaughters, embracing every opportunity to share outdoor adventures with his family.  

Adam Kakos

PT Officer

Transportation
113th SUS / 630th CSSB / 1451st TC

Born in Nantucket Island, MA, and raised in Western North Carolina, OC Adam Kakos grew up balancing school, summer visits with his father, and early work experience in plumbing, a movie theater, and a local gym. Seeking a change after high school, he moved to Cape Cod, where he found his faith and pursued biblical studies at Emmaus University in Iowa. There, he met his wife, Harim, an international student from South Korea. Together, they moved to Dallas for seminary, where he considered Army Chaplaincy but was unable to complete his degree due to COVID-19 and immigration challenges.

The couple later relocated to South Korea, teaching English and welcoming their son before returning to the U.S. for greater opportunities. Now a Utility Operator for Premier Magnesia in Sylva, NC, OC Kakos joined the National Guard to serve his country, better himself, and provide for his family. He hopes to branch into either
Military Police or Transportation, drawn to combat support and the opportunity to serve both stateside and abroad.

OC Kakos believes leadership is a high calling built on self-denial, mission accomplishment, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of those he leads. A devoted husband and father, he is driven by the hope of raising his son to be an even better man than himself.
